Goose saves family and animals from barn fire in Texas

In Richmond, Texas, a family credited their pet goose, Goosey, for alerting them to a barn fire on August 3. The goose's loud honking woke Bert Gerber, who quickly realized the barn was on fire and managed to control it with a garden hose. The fire, likely caused by old electrical wiring, could have led to a greater disaster, but thanks to Goosey's alert, the family saved their 100 chickens and turkeys.
