Lithuania prepares evacuation plan for Russian threats, NATO allies bolster Baltic defenses

Lithuania has prepared an evacuation plan for its population in case of a military threat, approved by its interior ministry in July and detailed in September. The plan includes three routes from Vilnius and cooperation with Poland for transit. Prime Minister Mindaugas Sinkevicius confirmed the plan, citing constant threats from Russia, including drone incursions. NATO recently shot down a drone entering Lithuanian airspace from Belarus. Latvia is also receiving German Eurofighter jets for protection during its October elections. These measures reflect heightened security concerns along NATO's eastern flank.
