US envoy Massad Boulos meets Sudan's army chief in Egypt to push for peace talks

On Saturday, US envoy Massad Boulos met Sudan's army chief General Abdel-Fattah al-Burhan in Egypt, hosted by Egyptian President el-Sissi. The meeting aimed to renew diplomatic efforts to end Sudan's war, which has killed at least 59,000 and displaced over 14 million. It came after the US denied Burhan a visa for the UN General Assembly. Boulos reaffirmed US support for a Sudanese-led political solution.
