President Donald Trump awards Presidential Medal of Freedom to former MLB pitcher Roger Clemens

At a rally in San Antonio, Texas, on Wednesday night, President Donald Trump announced that former MLB pitcher Roger Clemens will receive the Presidential Medal of Freedom. Trump praised Clemens' career, including 354 wins and seven Cy Young Awards, and criticized the Baseball Hall of Fame for excluding him. Clemens, who introduced Trump at the rally, said he was stunned and honored. The award comes despite allegations of steroid use that have kept Clemens out of the Hall of Fame. Clemens will join past recipients like Martin Luther King Jr. and Apollo 11 astronauts.
