Alibaba unveils Zhenwu V900 chip, claims it is China's most powerful AI chip

At its annual conference in Hangzhou, China, Alibaba unveiled its new Zhenwu V900 AI chip, which CEO Eddie Wu called China's most powerful AI chip. The chip delivers three times the performance of its predecessor. Alibaba also announced plans to train a new AI model with five to ten trillion parameters and to expand data centers to meet rising AI demand. The announcement comes ahead of a meeting between Chinese and U.S. leaders, where AI competition is expected to be a key topic.
