Airtel Africa plans London Stock Exchange listing for its mobile payments unit Airtel Money

Airtel Africa, a telecoms provider operating in Africa and part of India's Bharti Enterprises, has announced plans to list its mobile payments subsidiary Airtel Money on the London Stock Exchange. The IPO is expected to raise around 800 million US dollars, making it one of London's biggest listings in recent years. Airtel Money, which operates through branches and kiosks, generated revenues of about 1.4 billion US dollars last year. The company will publish a prospectus next month.
