Portuguese singer-songwriter Jorge Palma died on Monday night at age 76 from cardiorespiratory arrest, as announced by his family on social media. His wife, sons, and agents asked that he be remembered through his songs and words. Palma's career spanned 54 years, leaving a significant mark on Portuguese music. He began piano lessons at six, studied at the Lisbon Music Conservatory, and performed with bands like Sindicato and Black Boys. He released 13 original albums and received several awards, including the José Afonso Prize and the Career Award at the PLAY – Portuguese Music Awards.
