Rosie O'Donnell to temporarily play Narrator in Broadway's The Rocky Horror Show

On September 16, 2026, producers announced that Rosie O'Donnell will temporarily join the Broadway revival of The Rocky Horror Show as the Narrator. She will replace Rachel Dratch, who is taking a short leave, for a two-week engagement from October 6 to 18 at Studio 54 in New York City. Dratch, who was Tony-nominated for the role, will return on October 20. The show, directed by Sam Pinkleton, runs through February 2027. O'Donnell, 64, is a Broadway supporter and has appeared in several productions. The original show debuted in 1975, and Tim Curry, who originated Dr. Frank-N-Furter, died in August 2026.
