Three newborns die in fire at Amravati hospital's NICU

In Amravati, Maharashtra, a fire broke out in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit of the District Women’s Hospital around 3:30 AM, resulting in the tragic deaths of three newborns. The fire reportedly followed an explosion in a ventilator. Medical staff managed to evacuate several infants, with six critically injured babies transferred to another facility for treatment. The District Magistrate stated that a fire audit had been conducted last year and an investigation is underway to determine the cause of the fire.
