Indian Coast Guard rescues survivors from sunken cargo vessel

On August 22, 2026, the MV Ocean Winner sank in the Bay of Bengal, prompting a rescue operation by the Indian Coast Guard. The vessel, carrying iron ore from Paradip port, lost communication and issued a distress alert before sinking.
