Steven Kolb resigns as head of US fashion trade group after restraining PETA protesters at New York show

Steven Kolb, the longtime chief executive of the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA), resigned on Friday, days after he was filmed physically restraining two PETA protesters at a runway show in New York City. The incident occurred at a Cos brand show, where Kolb covered the mouths of protesters and held them down. Kolb apologized and initially took a leave of absence, but then stepped down after two decades leading the CFDA. PETA had planned to meet with him to discuss ending the use of wool and animal skins in clothing.
