UK considers joining Canada-led defence bank

The UK government is in talks about joining a new global investment bank called the Defence, Security and Resilience Bank (DSRB), led by Canada, to raise more money for defence spending. Chancellor John Healey is considering membership, which would cost around £870 million over three years. The decision comes amid rising security tensions in Europe, including recent incidents involving Russia. Nato Secretary General Mark Rutte is visiting the UK to discuss security. No final decision has been made yet.
