Iain McDonald returns as chairman of British retailer Debenhams Group

Iain McDonald has returned as chairman of Debenhams Group, a British online fashion retailer, replacing Tim Morris with immediate effect. The company, formerly known as Boohoo Group, announced the change on Friday as it continues its turnaround. McDonald, a significant shareholder through Belerion Capital, previously served on the board from 2017 to 2026. The group also appointed Michael Stewart and Stephen Rothwell as independent non-executive directors. The leadership changes follow Debenhams reporting a return to profit for the past six months and selling assets, including the Nasty Gal brand and a Sheffield warehouse, to reduce debt.
