Kurdish-led forces dissolve and integrate into Syrian military

In Syria, the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces announced their dissolution and integration into the Syrian army. This decision was made by SDF commander Mazloum Abdi during a press conference in Damascus. The SDF, which previously controlled a significant area in northeastern Syria, lost much of its territory earlier this year. The new interim government under Ahmad al-Sharaa has promised to recognize Kurdish rights, leading to mixed reactions among the Kurdish population regarding their future representation and rights.
