Slim Chickens to open first UK drive-through in Wales on October 6

Slim Chickens, the US fast-food chain, will open its first UK drive-through at Broughton Shopping Park in north Wales on October 6, 2026. The brand, which entered the UK in 2018, plans to open 15-20 new sites next year, mostly drive-throughs, creating up to 1,000 jobs. Boparan Restaurant Group, the UK franchise holder, aims to expand the drive-through format across the country, focusing on retail parks. The move responds to growing demand for convenient dining amid rising costs.
