Actor Alan Cumming says he does not fully understand the plot of upcoming Marvel film Avengers: Doomsday

Alan Cumming, who reprises his role as Nightcrawler in the upcoming Marvel film Avengers: Doomsday, has admitted he does not fully understand the plot. The Scottish actor, who first played the character in 2003's X2: X-Men United, filmed his scenes rapidly using green screens due to his hosting duties on The Traitors US. He revealed he only met co-star Florence Pugh at the Emmy Awards, despite their characters sharing screen time via body doubles. Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, the film features an ensemble cast facing Robert Downey Jr's Doctor Doom. Avengers: Doomsday is scheduled for release in UK cinemas on 18 December.
