Suzuki Motor Corporation plans to halve vehicle development time by 2030

On September 25, 2026, Suzuki Motor Corporation, a Japanese automaker, announced plans to halve vehicle development time by 2030. The company aims to improve development efficiency by 30% and production efficiency by 50%. Suzuki will expand its annual production capacity in India to 4 million-4.99 million vehicles by fiscal 2030. The company will retain a multi-powertrain strategy, combining BEVs, hybrids, and carbon-neutral-fuel vehicles. Technologies developed in Japan will be shared with Maruti Suzuki India. The announcement was made at the company's Technology Strategy Briefing 2026.
