British author and former politician Jeffrey Archer dies at 86 in London

Jeffrey Archer, the British novelist and former Conservative politician, died on Monday, October 5, 2026, at age 86, according to his publisher HarperCollins. Archer sold over 300 million books worldwide, including "Kane & Abel."
